Blog #1 Joe

Joe is a caring character who likes everyone he meets even if they are not the nicest people. The quote "It were a bit lonesome then," said Joe "living here alone, and I got acquainted with your sister. Now, Pip," Joe looked firmly at me, as if he knew I was not going to agree with him: "your sister is a fine figure of a woman." shows that this statement is true. This quote shows that Joe is caring because he cares about Pip's sister. Joe used to be a lonely person, but felt that he cared enough about Pip's sister that he would marry her. Also, this quotation proves that Joe likes everyone that he meets despite their personality because both Pip and Joe know that Pip's sister is a very mean person. However, Joe still describes her as being a "fine figure of a woman" which shows that Joe still likes her and her ways despite her mean personality. Joe has a kind and caring personality based on the fact that he likes everyone he meets and knows how to keep a companion that he needs when he is lonely.
